How to remove VsSpy?
What is VsSpy?
VsSpy is a rogue anti-spyware program, even though that fact may not be quite as apparent as it usually is. The way VsSpy infects systems is unclear, albeit two ways generally turn out to be the case: 1)by using trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo; 2)by way of manual download and installation, the latter one being a strategy of the more subtle rogues out there, like, say, VsSpy. Having said that, this parasite follows the same principle as every other rogue: it uses scare tactics to prove it’s legitimacy and tempts users to buy it’s "licensed version".
Once inside and active, VsSpy starts employing it’s dirty methods. They might involve the use of popups and fake system notifications to misinform the user on the existence of an infection or it may use falsified system scan reports. Whatever the case might be, VsSpy will try to intimidate the user in one way or another with a non-existent infection or multiple infections, which are supposedly easiest to remove by using VsSpy’s "licensed version".
VsSpy’s homepage is exceptionally well-made: the design is better than that of any other rogue I’ve seen, there is actual contact information (albeit it’s just a few emails and a street address) and there is a legitimate payment system, which is extremely weird. Either way, there are some things that might tip people off: the section "company" says absolutely nothing about the company, the logos at the bottom right side of the screen are stolen and the name "Vantala" at the top is probably the name of the company, but, if so, then why does it say "vsspy inc." in the address? There are other things that reduce credibility aswell, like, for example, the fact that the domain is registered to someone from Argentina even though the address clearly says "London".
VsSpy is a scam, albeit a good one, and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block vsspy.com using your HOSTS file.

Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend using automatic spyware removal applications found on 2-viruses.com.

VsSpy is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only VsSpy can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads VsSpy trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, VsSpy offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, VsSpy does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as VsSpy, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install VsSpy, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as VsSpy, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
