Amarktflow.com Scams - How to remove

Amarktflow.com is a scam site

Fake prizes

Amarktflow.com promotes scams like the National Consumer Center and some very shady (though possibly legal) survey rewards. Here are some complaints about it on Reportscam.com.

Mostly, Amarktflow.com is known for its $1000 Amazon gift card scams. The gift card is offered for you completing a short survey, or for registering to claim the gift card that you supposedly won. Of course, this doesn’t pan out. Amarktflow.com may offer various rewards, but it is not affiliated with any big company – not Amazon, not Wallmart, not Visa. This site is just used to get your credit card information and a bit fo your money.

Amarktflow.com may offer new iPhones, $1000 gift cards, and other great prizes. Usually, it goes like this:

  1. Amarktflow.com has you complete a short survey and then give you a message saying that your prize was reserved for you.
  2. Then you have to register on it and verify your account by making a small credit card payment (“verifying” your account like that is a scam red flag, so just run away when you see it).
  3. Then you may be asked to pay for the shipping of your prize, to pay fees, or to do more tasks.
  4. At the same time, Amarktflow.com may sign you up for some spam email and some fraudulent subscriptions – with your credit card, of course.

Reward programs

Amarktflow.com then may redirect you to some rewards site. There, you’re asked to buy a lot of products and to spend a lot of your time filling out surveys for just a chance to win one of those big prizes.

These sites do offer you a chance to win $1000 gift cards. However, they string you along, telling you to buy this product, complete that survey, subscribe to that site, to spend an hour on this website… They promise big discounts and big rewards, however, these promises are in vain: the discounts are tiny and the rewards are very few. Most rewards sites seek to gamify online shopping. They’re meant to trick people into thinking they’re saving money while getting them to buy more. Thanks to Amarktflow.com, you may spend money hoping to make up the difference with the gift card that you were promised.

But you never do get that $1000 gift card. There are quite a lot of complaints online made by people who ran into Amarktflow.com who say they were promised the gift card, followed all the instructions, completed all the tasks, even spent some of their own money, and still haven’t been able to get it.

How Amarktflow.com spreads

Amarktflow.com mostly only affects people in the USA. Its pop-ups and ads appear on desktop computers and mobile devices, on any operating system.

Amarktflow.com first uses spoofed social media websites and online store sites to trick people into believing that they’re on a trusted site. This is very common with scams:

Nobody goes to Amarktflow.com on their own. Most of its traffic comes from other sites, namely various Flash Rewards sites. These sites offer loyalty rewards programs – coupons, $100 and $1000 gift cards, and deals in exchange for completing surveys and trying and buying products. Like Amarktflow.com, these schemes/programs are also exclusive to the USA.

Pop-ups ads and redirects online lead people to Amarktflow.com. Ads are posted on social media, on online streaming sites, on file download sites, and in email. Notification spammers and adware viruses also may be responsible, so if you have to deal with excessive pop-ups of all kinds, time to scan your computer.

How to deal with Amarktflow.com scams

While it’s possible that your computer is infected with adware and it’s useful to scan it with an anti-malware scanner (Combo Cleaner for Mac OS, SpyHunter for Windows, and other professional programs can do it), it is also possible that your computer is totally clean and you just got unlucky with an ad.

While you’re on Amarktflow.com, you are not in danger. It won’t download malware on your device or spy on you. Just close the page and forget about it.

The problem is when you give away your private information to these scammers. That’s when you need to take action:

  • In the USA, there is the Internet Crime Complaint Center that you can report the scam to. In case somebody steals your identity and uses it to take out loans or some other crimes, it’s good for you to put this scam on record so that you can defend yourself later.
  • If the scammers charged your credit card, contact your bank and tell them what happened.
  • Be careful of email spam, phishing attempts, phone calls from scammers.
