How to remove SpyGuarder?
What is SpyGuarder?
SpyGuarder (a.k.a SpyGuarder 2.1) is a rogue anti-spyware threat that secretly installs itself on your system with the help of a trojan parasite or via web browser security holes. Once in your system, SpyGuarder starts to send you fake security warning pop-ups. Then, it tries to lure you into using their fake spyware scan and then scare you into buying the "full" SpyGuarder version with false and exaggerated scan reports.
Spy Guarder uses misleading popups and fake system notifications to convince the user he is infected. The following message is a sign of infection:
“WARNING!!! Scan results
Security Center Help protect your PC
Files found 2353445
Errors found 234
Total errors 1267".
The window also lists the following threats: NetSpy.KeyLogger, Spyster 1.0.19, WebMail Spy, I-Worm.Moodown.b, TrojanSpy.Win32.Briss, W32.Bugbear.B KeyLogger. None of these are real.
SpyGuarder’s homepage offers nothing but copied content and blatant lies, with excerpts from non-existent reviews at top security-related websites. The program, as many other rogues do, uses a payment system called "software-payment.com" to handle purchases, but it doesn’t seem to be legitimate in the slightest bit: it’s been created only 3 months ago and is registered to a private person rather than a company, which clearly indicates this is a scam.
Spy Guarder is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block SpyGuarder.com using your HOSTS file for maximum protection.

SpyGuarder is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only SpyGuarder can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads SpyGuarder trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, SpyGuarder offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, SpyGuarder does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as SpyGuarder, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install SpyGuarder, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as SpyGuarder, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
