What is MalwareCrush?

MalwareCrush is a rogue anti-spyware application designed for displaying false threats and tricking you into purchasing the full version of the program, which supposedly will remove all the security threats. Malware Crush gets on your system via Trojans and other malware, such as fake video codecs (that usually come from adult websites). It is a clone of infamous VirusBurst, SpywareQuake, SpyAxe etc. It even shares the same shortcut icon with its predecessors. You should remove MalwareCrush as soon as possible.

As the slogan of MalwareCrush goes "MalwareCrush Leaves The Malware Absolutely No Chance!". Of course it does not, as it brings all the so-called "threats" along to the installation already. After the installation you will be presented with a fake report of threats and offered to buy a full version of the application in order to remove them. That is, business as usual - do not fall for this scam. If you find MalwareCrush in your system, it is recommended to remove it as soon as possible. MalwareCrush may present itself as Malware Crush 3.7, but both of these applications are equally fraudulent.

The payments for Malware Crusher are processed on domain fantazybill.com - a domain without any frontpage which is VERY strange for legitimate payment business, so obviously its part of the scam isoftpay.com was. Your credit card info might get recorded in the process and more money will be stolen from you than the cost of this fake tool. One more reason not to trust them!

Do not ever download or buy Malware Crush and MalwareCrush 3.7, and to ensure your security, you should block malwarecrush.com (207.226.175.54) using your HOSTS file.

Manual MalwareCrush removal

Important Note: Although it is possible to manually remove MalwareCrush, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend using automatic spyware removal applications found on 2-viruses.com.

MalwareCrush is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only MalwareCrush can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads MalwareCrush trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, MalwareCrush offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, MalwareCrush not only does not fix the errors, but it takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.

Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as MalwareCrush, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install MalwareCrush, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.

Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as MalwareCrush, is nearly impossible to remove manually.

How to tell if your PC has been infected by a Rogue Anti-Spyware such as MalwareCrush?

Numerous undesirable and annoying pop-ups: A typical Rogue Anti-Spyware parasite keeps track of your internet browsing habits, sending your browsing history data to remote servers, owned by third party companies that use this information to advertise their products via numerous pop-ups, toolbars, hijacked homepages and spam letters. All these undesirable advertising methods are used on the victims of Rogue Anti-Spyware.
Changed or new icons: Sometimes, Rogue Anti-Spyware installs unwanted software to a victim’s PC without user’s knowledge and consent. This may lead to slower PC performance and stability, as well as more unwanted programs you can't remove.

It might be the case that you still have some version of trojans, responsible for downloading malwarecrush. It is best to scan with both anti-virus (which usually provide best protection albeit it do not react to all fast updating spyware threats in time) and some free reputable spyware scanners. These are updated faster, and might find the parasites Norton still miss. We recommend SpywareDoctor (download link here) free scanner, or completely free SuperAntiSpyware.
