About LowPricesApp

It works as a browser add-on that can be added to all most popular web browsers, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer. Even though it is described as application which will allow you to save both your time and money when shopping online by providing you with various coupons, deals and commercial offers, this is not true. This description has nothing to do with reality. All those deals and offers comes in annoying manner of web advertisements, such as pop-up, pop-under, in-text, banner and contextual ads. Usually they appear on e-commerce websites, such as eBay or Amazon and offers you to purchase some goods at a very appealing price rate. Those offers can look really appealing, but you should not fall for that – usually it’s just a trick to win your attention and make you click on one of those advertisements. If you do so, you will be immediately redirected to other websites that may be owned by cyber criminals, such as hackers and scammers. This way your computer can get infected or in case you attempt to purchase something there you can even get scammed and lose your hard earned money.

LowPricesApp is like advertising network for  cyber criminals. Since they are banned from legitimate advertising networks, they use adware like LowPricesApp to direct some traffic to their websites. So basically, if you have LowPricesApp installed on your computer, cyber criminals can reach you right on your web browser on a daily basis and that’s really dangerous.

Another unwanted attribute of LowPricesApp is data collection. Once installed it will collect various information about your browsing habits, such as your browsing history, search queries, top visited sites, or even your IP and email addresses. They adjust those advertisements according to collected data and make them even more relevant and attractive to you this way, so chances that you will click on one of those advertisements rise. And that’s the main goal of LowPricesApp because they get paid for every click you make on those ads.

Distribution Methods of LowPricesApp

LowPricesApp travels bundled with other free applications that can be downloaded from the Internet for free. I.e. when you download and install some freebie from unreliable website, there is a chance that LowPricesApp will be installed alongside without you even being aware of that. To avoid this happening, you should be really attentive during the install of free software.

Never skip any steps and always opt out for a custom or advanced install mode if possible. This will allow you to se all available options and make changes. Reading all terms and conditions would be considered wise as well. Don’t rush, because some of the most important information can be displayed in a very tiny font and you don’t want to overlook that. Look for various checkboxes that can be already checked for you. If you see that some additional software that you are not aware of is being installed alongside – do not allow this to happen, because it can possibly be LowPricesApp or any other malware.
