CuteRansomware Virus - How to remove

CuteRansomware Virus

CuteRansomware derives from a Chinese open-source program titled my-Little-Ransomware. It gives the feeling that these hackers are up to their eyeballs in Hello Kitty TV series. This freakishly named ransomware primarily aims at Chinese users but its battlefield is not confined to this giant country of East Asia. You do bear the chances to encounter this digital varmint on your PC as well. CuteRansomware virus have some peculiar features never exhibited before by any other ransomware viruses.

About CuteRansomware

CuteRansomware ransomware exploits Google Docs to store the victim’s data and the private decryption key. In the latter manner, Google Docs becomes the ransomware’s C$C (Command and Control) server. This feature is particularly frightening since such cloud storages as Google Docs use SSLs (Secure Sockets Layers) to communicate with the client, which means that the communication is encrypted, that is – protected. This communication can even bypass firewalls and some antivirus systems.

Despite the previously mentioned peculiarities, cuteRansomware cryptomalware seems to act similarly to ‘‘normal’’ ransomware viruses. It uses the asymmetric encryption algorithm to damage the victim’s data. ‘‘.encrypted’’ filename extension is appended to the filename extensions of each encrypted file. For instance, video.avi is turned into video.avi.encrypted. Just this extension and the ransom note that later covers the victim’s screen are both written in Chinese. This again indicates the origin of cuteRansomware. However, the size of the ransom demanded is still a great deal of cloak-and-dagger.

  • Download a data recovery program.
  • Install and scan for recently deleted files. Data Recovery Pro
