How to remove Security Guard?
What is Security Guard?
Security Guard is a fake anti-spyware program that is promoted with a help of Trojan viruses and through malicious websites that contain fake online scanners. Once you get to the website advertising Security Guard you will see a scanner which will imitate looking for infections and finally even display a list of supposedly malicious files.
It is impossible to avoid going to such websites as usually you are redirected to it while attempting to visit some other Internet page. Security Guard is pushed using browser hijacking. There is a chance that Security Guard will be infiltrated through Trojan as well. During the time when this malware is installed, a bunch of files are created. Here is a list of them:

%UserProfile%\Recent\grid.exe
%UserProfile%\Recent\kernel32.exe
%UserProfile%\Recent\runddlkey.drv

Instead you should do all it takes to get rid of Security Guard application as later you will encounter even more problems. The program is constantly generating fake security alerts claiming that your system is under attack of spyware, some potentially harmful programs have been detected in your system, suspicious software is running on your system, etc. All of such messages will be followed by a recommendation to threat the infection with a help of Security Guard. You will also be asked to pay for a license of a program and register it.
You must ignore both the scan results and all notifications by Security Guard as they don’t reflect a real situation of your computer. Most importantly, don’t pay money for it as you will end up ripped off by cyber criminals. Remove Security Guard immediately after detection.

Security Guard is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only Security Guard can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads Security Guard trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, Security Guard offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, Security Guard does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as Security Guard, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install Security Guard, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as Security Guard, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
