iMesh Toolbar is a browser extension that you may install to your system while downloading a music sharing program called iMesh. The thing is that you don’t only get this program but also a number of different ad-ons. The program also modifies your browser settings and can include some unknown websites to your bookmarks list. Besides, it alters your homepage to search.imesh.net and changes your default search. Whn you try to do some searches on your computer you may end up being redirected to iMesh website as well.
iMesh Toolbar is not considered to be an illegal program, however, it uses unfair ways to infiltrate into your computer and it can also track your browsing history, user names and passwords. As you know, later this information can be used for different purposes. Everybody who cares about their security should not allow such things to happen.
As you see iMesh Toolbar is not only annoying and it interrupts into your browsing activities. It can also cause some security related issues. For these reason you should remove iMesh Toolbar from your computer as soon as you detect it on your system. You should run a full system scan with a reliable antispyware program, for example Spyhunter. After that you will have to restore some settings automatically. Below we explain how to do it:
- Go to Control Panel and uninstall iMesh toolbar if it still exists there.
- Open IE Press on the arrow close to search bar, set default search engine to google or any other that you prefer and then delete iMesh from list.
- Open Firefox (optional). On the main tool bar, click on ‘Tools’, and select ‘Options’. Select General panel (Main panel in Firefox 3.5). Change the home page address and search engine.
- Open Google Chrome (optional). Click on gear icon, go to settings, manage search engines, change search engine back to google and delete iMesh toolbar from the list. Then Go to section “On start” and make sure you get blank page while creating new tab.
