Full PC Care 2.0 Optimizer - How to remove

Full PC Care, or Full PC Care 2.0, is a PC Optimizer. It’s yet another PCVARK product that tries to convince you to buy it without actually doing anything useful. Full PC Care 2.0 does have attractive marketing and promises to keep your PC running fast, and error-free. But the program also serves to convince you that your computer suffers from urgent issues that need to be solved ASAP, preferably by buying Full PC Care 2.0’s subscription.

Full PC Care 2.0 has generated a few reports by antivirus programs, as can be seen  on this page. Full PC Care is a dishonest, deceptive program that misrepresents the issues it finds on a computer. This is not the first or last application to use psychological manipulation to trick people to believe that their computer has specific problems which can only be solved by buying a solution — Full PC Care 2.0 is similar to other programs that it might be a clone of, such as PC Repair PRO, My Mac Speedup, and Mac Cleanup Pro.

While it’s possible to continue using Full PC Care 2.0 without problems, there are legitimate reasons for Full PC Care 2.0 to be considered a PUP (potentially unwanted program).

How to recognize Full PC Care 2.0 as a PUP

Potentially unwanted programs like Full PC Care 2.0 can cause some security and functionality problems, so they’re not advised to be installed unless you have a good reason. And, since PC optimizers are not practical anyway, it’s difficult to know why Full PC Care 2.0 should be installed by anyone.

So, why is it that Full PC Care 2.0’s setup file is detected as malware by so many antivirus programs?

Full PC Care 2.0 is a new member of the PCVARK family. PCVARK is known for developing unwanted applications and constantly releasing clones under new names. Moreover, some programs by this company were promoted using fake security alerts, like a scam. These programs would secretly install malware that would trick people to install more PCVARK applications thinking they were official Apple apps. Additionally, some users of the company’s programs say that they’ve been tricked into believing that they must buy software for over a hundred dollars. Thus, any program by PCVARK is suspicious.

Full PC Care 2.0 subscription pages

Full PC Care 2.0 displays constant and unwanted pop-ups, sets up scheduled scans, exaggerates the seriousness of the “issues” that it finds to make them look scarier. It promises to clean your Registry, which is a very risky operation that only the most competent programs should be allowed to do.

Bundling is a problem with Full PC Care 2.0, too. This practice is looked down on when reputable programs do it, and it’s certainly disliked when PUPs do it. Full PC Care 2.0 pushes Advanced Driver Booster and McAfee software on users. While that doesn’t automatically mean that the bundler is malware, it should make you pause.

Finally, Full PC Care 2.0 is transparent in how it tries its best to trick people into believing that their computer is in trouble, that wrong settings, unneeded files, and bloatware are plaguing their system and that Full PC Care 2.0 is the only answer. You yourself can remove junk files, manage your startup programs, optimize your Windows interface animations, and do everything else that Full PC Care 2.0 offers to do for money.

How Full PC Care 2.0 spreads

There are a couple of ways for Full PC Care 2.0 to be installed on a computer: bundling, manual download.

The webpage that was created to promote Full PC Care 2.0 and present it as a legitimate and serious application looks exactly like the other PCVARK pages, though with a different title for the application. Even the user reviews are exactly the same. The website can be opened by an adware virus, redirected to by an infected website, or promoted by normal ads online.

Bundling is very common for distributing various optimizers, fake antivirus tools, other unwanted programs. Full PC Care 2.0 being bundled with a program that you downloaded and installed intentionally is a type of unwanted and dishonest behavior. Most of the time, budling is not made clear and obvious enough for the user to always notice it and knowingly consent to or refuse the Full PC Care 2.0 installation. If you download a lot of programs from unethical websites that distribute bundles all the time, you likely have a few more potentially unwanted programs. But that’s not inevitable — you can choose other, safer sources to download software from, such as the page of the developer which are unlikely to use bundling.

How to uninstall Full PC Care 2.0

Since Full PC Care 2.0 is not a real virus, it shouldn’t be too complicated to remove it. In most cases, uninstalling using the Control Panel should be good enough. It’s advisable, though, to scan your computer using a strong antivirus program, like Spyhunter, to check that no other malware is remaining on your device. Stealthy malicious programs that snuck in using bundling can be difficult to discover manually.

In case something goes wrong, it would be useful for you to know how to kill malicious processes so that malware can’t stop you from removing it, and you can also have an antivirus tool remove Full PC Care 2.0 for you if the tool detects PUPs (this can usually be set in the settings of each program).
