How to remove Security Master?

July 1st, 2010

What is Security Master?

Security Master is a typical rogue application which claims to detect tons of viruses and then offers its fake license to remove them. However, these viruses “detected” by SecurityMaster are false in reality and invented by the same program dedicated for only misleading its victims just like earlier released Security Master AV. Keep in mind that money is the only reason why Security Master is spread through the web, so you should never agree with offers to purchase its “licensed” version.

Once Security Master gets on board, there will appear fake system scanners on the infected PCs desktop right away. Scareware will imitate scanning the whole system and then will generate reports that hundreds of viruses have been detected. These messages will appear continuously and every time after appearance they will tell the same “dangerous” state of the PC. Don’t fall into this lie, but remember that they won’t stop until Security Master’s trialware is not removed from the system.

So, to sum up, Security Master should never be trusted because it claims to detect viruses that in reality are false. It also offers fake “licensed” version which is not capable to remove any kind of threat and becomes active until it is not eliminated. So, have no doubt and delete Security Master – rogue anti-spyware application.

Security Master is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only Security Master can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads Security Master trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, Security Master offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, Security Master does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.

Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as Security Master, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install Security Master, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.

Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as Security Master, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
