RegFix Pro - How to remove

RegFix Pro

RegFix Pro is a registry repair tool, and just as pretty much every other such program, RegFix Pro is fake. This parasite typically enters the system by using either Zlob or Vundo, both of which are backdoor trojans. RegFix Pro uses misleading advertising to trick the user into purchasing it’s “licensed version”, which is no more functional than the so called trial version.

Upon entering the system, RegFix Pro will flood the user with popups and fake system notifications, claiming there are serious errors in his Windows registry. While pretty much every registry has an error or two, RegFix Pro has neither the ability to detect nor remove any of them and should therefore be thoroughly ignored. Much like any other rogue, RegFix Pro will perform fake registry scans, which produce greatly exaggerated results.

RegFix Pro is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block it’s homepage using your HOSTS file.

RegFix Pro was first spotted on the losse back in 2009. A lot of time has passed and it seems that this rogue security tool is no longer actively distributed. In a way, this is good news. On the other hand, it simply means that new and more convincing variants have been produced and released to the Web. Rogue security tools are being actively crafted so people would voluntarily download them as reliable partners. Many programs around that are advertised as efficient helpers end up compromising the health of users’ devices. RegFix Pro might be an older player in the scamming game, but it still has some powerful cards up its sleeve. People can receive this rogue software via bundling or other methods, exploited for distribution of malware (like the earlier mentioned backdoor trojans). If you happen to regularly witness RegFix Pro, executing security scans and trying to imply that your computer is facing some majors threats, then it is time to address this issue of a rogue security tool.

RegFix Pro rogue anti-spyware is not the soldier you want to fight in a battlefield for you. It will try to defeat problems that are not imporant enough to be addressed or come up with enemies for the sake of pretending to look busy. To show off its “power”, RegFix Pro will regularly offer you to purchase its full version. This advertised example is exaggerated, like mostly everything about RegFix. The stronger and more efficient program that is said to be the full version of this rogue is an illusion.

If you do feel like your computer is running slower than usual and your Internet connection is weaker, than you might be facing viruses or infections. However, we do not actually believe that RegFix Pro is going to help you in detecting and removing actual threats. It does not know how to handle real danger and focuses on the detriments that it comes up with. If you wish to have a properly secured machine, running like it is well-oiled, you should choose a reputable anti-malware tool for protection. Before coming to a decision which security tool fits your requirements the best, you should do a little research in the field about the following information: what to look in an anti-malware tool, its price, reliability, reputation and etc. In the section called “Reviews” we give informative details about anti-malware tools and help our visitors decide which is the best for them.
