Plsppushme.com Pop-up Ads - How to remove

Plsppushme.com is a type of site that tries to hijack any visiting device (mobile or stationary) in order to spam it with ads and profit from intrusive advertising. It’s considered to be adware and not only is it annoying, but it also promotes the type of content that can actually be harmful, such as malicious software and financial scams.

Associated with special-offers.online, install.notify-service.com, adaranth.com, and other dangerous pages, Plsppushme.com is to be avoided if you don’t want to accidentally download malware, lose money to a get-rich-quick scam, or join an online gambling site that never pays out. The site promotes types of products that no ad-network with standards works with, creating a safe space for all the deceptive, malicious, and overly aggressive websites and giving them an opportunity to find new victims.

How Plsppushme.com is dangerous

One way that Plsppushme.com is dangerous is how it tries to spoof other sites to trick people into doing something they don’t want. Plsppushme.com and its partners have pages that are made to look like a file being downloaded or a video about to be played. It’s not a coincidence that a lot of sites that use ads by Plsppushme.com are ones that offer people to download files (for example, video conversion sites) and video hosting sites (for example, free streaming sites). You can easily be redirected by a website that you trust to Plsppushme.com, which will forward you to a malware download, scam, or a phishing site. Malicious websites are dangerous and, thanks to Plsppushme.com, you might visit one without even realizing it.

Downloading malware or accidentally revealing your private details to a site that’s pretending to be a trusted page are very real possibilities when your browser — the program you use to access and surf the internet — is being attacked by Plsppushme.com. Scams can cost real money and Plsppushme.com promotes many of those, such as work-at-home scams and unregulated medical products.

Plsppushme.com also displays annoying ads that are distracting and irrelevant. It’s impossible to surf the web calmly when your browser is being spammed constantly with advertisements.

How the site is visited

Since Plsppushme.com has no worthwhile content that anyone could find valuable, it’s not visited by people intentionally. Instead, the site uses ads, redirects, adware, and links to spread and hijack people’s browsers.

  • Redirected from another site that has partnered with Plsppushme.com for ads (PopCash, PopAds). Often these are sites that host pirated content, adult content, files available for download. The owners of the websites don’t always mean to endanger their visitors, in fact, sometimes they don’t even realize that the ads on their site are so aggressive and when they do, they rush to remove the bad ads. Other websites don’t seem to care.
  • Links on social media, in messages, even in emails can lead to Plsppushme.com. If spam accounts share these types of links with you, consider blocking them.
  • An adware virus can also open Plsppushme.com. Adware viruses, however, usually have symptoms more serious than what Plsppushme.com causes, such as randomly opening new browser tabs and windows.

Besides making sure that your browser is free of malicious extensions and that no adware is lurking on your computer, the only way to avoid malicious sites like Plsppushme.com is to be hypervigilant online, which is impractical advice, even though there is value in being careful when browsing. But, at least, you can easily stop the ads from attacking your browser by blocking notifications from Plsppushme.com.

How to stop the Plsppushme.com redirects

Access the settings of your browser and find Plsppushme.com, then block notifications from it. Make sure to block every instance of Plsppushme.com, as it has many subdomains that can all be used to send ads to you. Next, scan your computer (Spyhunter (PC), Combo-Cleaner (Mac)) and if any malware or suspicious software is found, you should remove it.

If you use Chrome, go to the “chrome://settings/content/notifications” address and, in the Allow section, find Plsppushme.com and block notifications from it. If you use Safari, open the Safari menu, click Preferences, Websites, Notifications. For the Edge browser, choose Settings, Advanced settings, Notifications, Manage. Firefox — go to the “about:preferences#content” and find Notifications.

Mobile browsers that support notifications are also vulnerable to ads by Plsppushme.com, so if your mobile browser has been hijacked, look up the procedure for revoking notifications permissions or reset your browser, as well as check your installed add-ons — are any of them suspicious?

In the future, remember to read everything before agreeing to it, and don’t be afraid to refuse pop-ups: the truth is, the web is no safer than the real world. Aggressive salespeople, misleading advertising, and even theft thrive online and we have to be careful.
