Flipora Hijacker, also known as Flipora Facebook scam, is a program that causes redirects to static.flipora.com, static1.flipora.com, login.flipora.com, feedshare.flipora.com, http://static2.flipora.com/ websites, third-party search engine Certified Toolbar and a bunch of other problems to your computer. The program gets access to computers over spam email attachments and by bundling into other software that is usually free and you download it form the Internet. Once inside, the program hijacks your Internet browser and gets some control over your searches.

Flipora Hijacker modifies some of your browser settings and changes your default search page, homepage and even adds unknown websites to your bookmarks list. When you try perform a search on the Internet you will end up visiting static.flipora.com instead of your request. These redirections are very annoying and they may also lead to malware infiltration if you get redirected to a malicious website or click on a malicious link. Flipora Hijacker is programmed to collect certain information, such as your browsing history, search keywords, ads on which you click on. The data can be used to promote various products and special offers.

It is recommended to remove Flipora Hjacker from your system, once you notice its traces on your machine. You will have to remove any suspicious entries related to Flipora Hijacker from your computer and perform a full system scan with a reputable antispyware program, for example, Spyhunter. Depending on which browser you are using follow the instructions below to remove any extensions and malicious files from Control Panel:

How to remove Flipora Hijaker from Internet Explorer (older versions):

  1. Click on the arrow on the right of the search box;
  2. Do the following: on IE8-9 choose Manage Search providers, on IE7 click on Change search defaults;
  3. Remove static.flipora.com, static1.flipora.com, login.flipora.com, feedshare.flipora.com, static2.flipora.com and similar from the list.

How to remove Flipora Hijaker from IE 11:

  1. Click on the Settings icon (top right)->Manage Addons;
  2. Select Search Providers;
  3. Change the default search engine to Bing or Google;
  4. If any of these search providers is not available, follow “Find more search providers” in the bottom of the screen and install Google.

How to remove Flipora Hijaker from Firefox:

  1. Enter “about:config” in url bar. This will open settings page;
  2. Type “Keyword.url” in the search box. Right click and reset it;
  3. Type “browser.search.defaultengine” in the search box. Right click it and reset it;
  4. Type “browser.search.selectedengine” in the search box. Right click it and reset it;
  5. Type “browser.startup.homepage” in the search box. Right click it and reset;
  6. Search for “browser.newtab.url”. Right-click and reset. This will make sure that the search page won’t launch on every new tab;
  7. If the settings revert and scan with anti-malware programs are clean: close Firefox, open file explorer and enter %AppData% in the address bar. Enter user.js in the search box. If this file exists, rename it and start Firefox again. You will have to repeat the steps above.

How to remove Flipora Hijaker from Google Chrome:

  1. Click on the 3 horizontal lines icon on the browser toolbar;
  2. Select Settings;
  3. Select Basics ->Manage Search engines;
  4. Remove unnecessary search engines from the list;
  5. Go back to Settings. On Startup choose ‘Open blank page’ (you can remove undesired pages from the set pages link too);
  6. If your New Tab page is hijacked, you will have to scan with anti-malware program or use New Tab Redirect extension from Chrome Store.

Remove shortcut hijack (all browsers) (optional):

If your browser opens static.flipora.com, static1.flipora.com, login.flipora.com, feedshare.flipora.com, static2.flipora.com or similar pages on startup only, try this:

  1. Right click on your browser icon. Choose Properties;
  2. Open Short cut tab;
  3. Delete static.flipora.com, static1.flipora.com, login.flipora.com, feedshare.flipora.com, static2.flipora.com, etc. part from target field.

I hate this Flipora Facebook , because when we get it, it will keep pushing products that you don’t want in front your nose daily, some of them telling you lies like, “you have 460 or 1253 problems on your PC and needs to be removed right away” It is just a pressurized way of selling tech products. I just had to get rid of it!
