Not that that’s useful to anyone, considering that most of the web has moved on from Flash and most people don’t need it anymore.

Flashit.xyz is not related to Adobe in any way; it’s by RocketMedia, the same company that released Lessnotifications.com – another browser hijacker.

It’s also possible to get hijackers like Flashit.xyz from infected installers and bundlers. Especially if you don’t remember installing Flashit.xyz. But web analytics sites estimate that Flashit.xyz gets most of its visitors from movie streaming and pirate sites.

If you were trying to download some free games or watch movies, you might have got a pop-up from Flashit.xyz. Maybe you accidentally clicked the “Continue” button without reading carefully what it was about? It’s incredibly easy to install a browser add-on by accident, especially when deliberately misleading ads precede the installation.
