How to remove AntiMalware PRO?

September 19th, 2008

What is AntiMalware PRO?

AntiMalware Pro is the new brother of AntiMalware 2009. Disguised under name of one of the leading legal malware removers (Malwarebyte’s AntiMalware), this rogue is trying to force users to pay for bad product and tarnish the name of real tool. It can not compete with any real anti-spyware application except with shiny new skin. The functionality of AntiMalwarePro is severely lacking – it does not detect any real threats and tries to convince people to pay by showing some predefined parasites present. Free version does not remove any parasites, but you should not pay – usually you will never hear about them after you provide your credit card details nor will you get a working license key or full version. It might even not exist at this point. At first glance AntiMalware Pro popups look annoying at most. You should beware, though – the presence of rogue removers is a sign that your computer security is breached and you should check your PC for other threats that might be downloaded. Your bandwidth might be used to send spam emails or for other malicious intent. Thus you should remove the parasite as fast as you can. You can be infected by AntiMalware Pro if you visit risky sites a lot or one of your favourite websites got recently infected. Also, peer to peer communication downloads and fake video codecs are likely to cause these problems.

There is an updated version of AntiMalware Pro pushed in the middle of 2009, going around as version AntiMalwarePro 2.1. It is neverless a scam. Apparently, its developer wished to push a product without the cost of updating parasite name and skin

AntiMalware PRO is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only AntiMalware PRO can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads AntiMalware PRO trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, AntiMalware PRO offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, AntiMalware PRO does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.

Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as AntiMalware PRO, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install AntiMalware PRO, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.

Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as AntiMalware PRO, is nearly impossible to remove manually.

    Nic :
Manual instructions are no cost. We recommend a product from reputable companies, including PCTOOLS (you can google their name) or Malwarebytes.
    They are legitimate.
