Websearch.relevantsearch.info virus is a browser hijacker that can affect your Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers. The program is added while you are installing some free software from the Internet. Once inside, the program immediately changes your homepage and default search provider.  Once infected these are the first things you will probably notice on your browser.

The main purpose of Websearch.relevantsearch.info virus is to advertise a bunch of websites and boost their traffic. It displays these pages in your search results and causes redirections to them. First of all, such activity badly interferes with your work, secondly, Websearch.relevantsearch.info virus can reroute you to compromised websites where you can get your system infected.

Security experts strongly recommend to be more careful about what you are downloading to your computer. Being more attentive can help you to avoid many unwanted programs like the latter one.   1. Click arrow on the right of search box.
  2. Do the following: on IE8-9 choose Manage Search Providers, on IE7 click Change Search Defaults.
  3. Remove Websearch.relevantsearch.info  from the list.

On Firefox :

  1. Enter “about:config” in url bar. This will open settings page.
  2. Type “Keyword.url” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
  3. Type “browser.search.defaultengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
  4. Type “browser.search.selectedengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
  5. Search for “browser.newtab.url”. Right-click and reset. This will make sure that the search page won’t launch on each new tab.

On Google Chrome:

  1. Click 3 horizontal lines icon on browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Basics ->Manage Search engines.
  4. Remove unnecessary search engines from list.
  5. Go back to Settings. On Startup choose Open blank page ( you can remove undesired pages from the set pages link too).
