Surftastic - How To Remove?

Surftastic is an adware program that displays tons of ads on infected systems trying to advertise various websites. It can affect your Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome when you are downloading free programs from the Internet. Surftastic can come bundled with free music players, video recorders, PDF creators and a bunch of other applications, for example, Youtube Downlaoder HD, DVDX Player 3.2, Media Player 1.1, etc.

Once inside, the program displays popup messages that contain various coupons and discounts. It is very likely that you will see them when you shop online on Amazon, Ebay and other popular shopping websites. If these ads succeed in tempting you and you click on them, the program will take you to some commercial websites. In fact Surftastic is programmed to generate a bigger traffic for these pages and increase their page ranking in search results by redirecting users to them. These are the main goals of this adware.

Surftastic is not a virus, but its activity is not fair and most users get annoyed by these ads pretty soon. However, you should only blame yourself for downloading it to your computer even if you did not feel like agreeing upon its infiltration. To avoid this adware, you should be more careful while downloading any freeware to your PC. Always choose a Custom installation and follow every installation step. If you see any already selected options, make sure you read what they suggest and remove the check marks if they offer downloading any unknown software.

To remove Surftastic, run a full system scan with Reimage, SpyHunter, hitman or other legitimate tool that you trust. They will eliminate any potentially unwanted programs. Don’t forget to upgrade your antispyware to its newest version to ensure detection and removal of the most recent unwanted programs.
