Spyware XP Guard is one more rogue that seems to be left behind by trying exploiting popularity using famous brands like XP. Sadly, Windows XP is old news, and this rogue anti-spyware application will have to rely on other tricks to convince PC users pay for full version. Not that these tricks were too new.

Spyware XP Guard is spread by Trojan and worms which use security vulnerabilities on unpatched systems, especially browsers, torrent programs. Trojans can be got by installing non-reliable third party software like fake codecs or shareware. These malicious processes start promoting Spyware XP Guard security suite by showing multiple alerts about infections or hacker attacks. Non-savvy user might be convinced to download Spyware XP Guard software and try it out, or even buy its full version… Don’t do this! Secondly, your credit card details will be known for its creators, who will surely re-use them till your account is empy.
