SelectionLinks - How To Remove?

SelectionLinks is an adware that displays numerous ads on the popular websites that you constantly visit, for example, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and so on. The messages appear in boxes that say the advertisement is brought by SelectionLinks. The program can be installed to all most popular Internet browsers – Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and others.

SelectionLinks gets into computers bundled with other software. Usually, adware programs have their installs on other software and they are downloaded at the same time. Computer users can avoid this if they opt for custom installation and deselect the option to install SelectionLinks. You should always do it, if you see the option marked by default to add some unknown program. Never install anything that you do not trust.

SelectionLinks is not only annoying because of constant interruptions of your work with unwanted ads, but it also makes changes to your Internet settings. You will see new tabs added to your Google Search page that will give you an option to see results from Youtube and Twitter. The worst thing is that the program collects the information about your browsing history and sends it to the remote servers. Later this information is used to provide advertisements according to the keywords you used in your search and web pages you visited.

You cannot simply remove SelectionLinks from your Windows Control Panel as you probably will not find it there.  In case you do, you should delete every single component that is related to SelectionsLinks at Add/Remove Programs list. Then scan your computer using antivirus program, for example, Spyhunter. It will not only remove SelectionLinks but also detect and delete any other adware and browser hijackers that might have been installed together with it. Moreover, if any viruses got infiltrated to your computer while you had this unwanted application, the latter antivirus tool will take care of them as well.
