Searchcore.net redirect - How to remove

Searchcore.net redirect

Searchcore.net redirect is an unwanted adware program that installs itself to your browser as a toolbar. It can be added to Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. When it starts working, you will notice your home page and default search engine changed to searchcore.net, which uses ask.com database to display results. The changes are made without your clear consent. Although the search page might look like many others you will not get the same results as using Google or Bing. Searchcore.net will show paid ads among top results and you will not be able to distinguish which of the matches are the ones you looked for and which ones are displayed only because it needs more traffic to be generated to the sites.

Besides the obvious inconveniences Searchcore.net redirect causes to an infected computer user, it might also record sites one visits this way breaching privacy rights. The toolbar might send this information to its makers’ server. The data later might be used for various purposes, such as for targeted marketing campaigns that would display more advertisements.

Searchcore.net redirect is distributed bundled with other software. Typically, it is installed by default and one has to uncheck some boxes to avoid the hijacker and other unwanted applications like adware to be added automatically.
