Midicair Toolbar is a browser hijacker that can be installed to Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome together with free software. You will only notice it once it ads a new toolbar to your browser, replaces your search provider and  homepage with search.conduit.com and makes some other changes.

Midicair Toolbar is an annoying program as it displays tons of advertisements while you are browsing the Internet and constantly redirects you while you are trying to make some search or visit your favorite websites. The problem about it is that it can lead you to some infected websites. Plus it is very annoying and disturbing.

Midicair Toolbar is officially called a potentially unwanted program. It doesn’t cause any direct damage to the system, but it uses unfair methods to get inside PC and makes you visit unwanted websites. What is more, the program can track information about which pages you visit most often, what your search entries are and similar things.

Security experts recommend removing Midicair Toolbar once you notice it on your browser. Go to Control Panel -> Add and Remove programs list and uninstall it from there. You should also check browser extensions for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and remove it from there. If you do not see it listed, you should use antimalware tools like SpyHunter and scan your computer with it. If you had redirecting issues, you might need to reset your home page and search engine to the one you used before:

On Internet explorer:

  1. Click arrow on the right of search box;
  2. Do the following: on IE8-9 choose Manage Search providers, on ie7 click change search defaults;
  3. Remove Midicair Toolbar from the list.

On Firefox :

  1. Enter “about:config” in url bar. This will open settings page;
  2. Type “Keyword.url” in the search box. Right click it & reset it;
  3. Type “browser.search.defaultengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it;
  4. Type “browser.search.selectedengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it;
  5. Search for ‘browser.newtab.url’. Right-click and reset. This will make sure that the search page won’t launch on each new tab.

On Google Chrome:

  1. Click 3 horizontal lines icon on browser toolbar;
  2. Select Settings;
  3. Select Basics ->Manage Search engines;
  4. Remove unnecessary search engines from list;
  5. Go back to settings. On Startup choose open blank page ( you can remove undesired pages from the set pages link too).

Please note, it is very important to scan your computer with a reliable antimalware program after Midicair Toolbar is removed as it might be your system got infected with viruses while having it.
