Entrusted Toolbar is a browser hijacker that can take over your browser’s settings such as home page and default search engine. If you use Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, you might see this toolbar added out of nowhere. The application aims to advertise certain websites subsequently it displays numerous ads with sponsored links as soon as it makes required changes in your browser.

Entrusted Toolbar usually replaces your default search provider and start page with search.conduit.com. The latter website does not look any special or different from a bunch of other regular search providers. However, if you try making a search using it, you will notice that certain search tool’s features are not that pleasant. Not only your system will be attacked by a bunch of pop-up ads, but you will also be redirected to commercial websites and see their links when you make some search.

Entrusted Toolbar usually is a consequence of downloading various free software to your computer, for example, PDF creators, music players and so on. These programs often contain additional tools bundled. You may see them during the installation however not all of us pay much attention to the installation processes and often skip the steps. Then many undesired programs like Entrusted Toolbar get easy access to our computers.

You should remove Entrusted Toolbar from your PC without any doubts. Go to Control Panel -> Add and Remove programs list and uninstall it from there. You should also check browser extensions for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and remove it from there. If you do not see it listed, you should use antimalware tools like SpyHunter and scan your computer with it. If you had redirecting issues, you might need to reset your home page and search engine to the one you used before:

On Internet explorer:

  1. Click arrow on the right of search box;
  2. Do the following: on IE8-9 choose Manage Search providers, on ie7 click change search defaults;
  3. Remove Entrusted Toolbar from the list.

On Firefox :

  1. Enter “about:config” in url bar. This will open settings page;
  2. Type “Keyword.url” in the search box. Right click it & reset it;
  3. Type “browser.search.defaultengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it;
  4. Type “browser.search.selectedengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it;
  5. Search for ‘browser.newtab.url’. Right-click and reset. This will make sure that the search page won’t launch on each new tab.

On Google Chrome:

  1. Click 3 horizontal lines icon on browser toolbar;
  2. Select Settings;
  3. Select Basics ->Manage Search engines;
  4. Remove unnecessary search engines from list;
  5. Go back to settings. On Startup choose open blank page ( you can remove undesired pages from the set pages link too).

Please note, it is very important to scan your computer with a reliable antimalware program after Entrusted Toolbar is removed as it might be your system got infected with viruses while having it.
