E-Card.exe is a trojan that allows remote attacker to spy an infected machine. Anyone with bad intentions can steal sensitive information or make use of online banking accounts by employing e-Card.exe trojan; and trojans are not installed by someone with good wishes.
E-Card.exe infection is difficult to notice because it works secretly in a background. Fortunately, this trojan can be avoided as it only spread via email messages so far. E-Card.exe is distributed through spam messages. The email informs victim about e-card waiting on certain website and encourages user to click on a link to view the greetings. Once user clicks on the link, he/she is redirected to 18.104.22.168 website and infected with E-Card.exe trojan. The malicious email has “You’ve received A Hallmark E-Card!” at the subject field and message body is the text below:
You have received a Hallmark E-Card.
