Ads by FlowSurf - How to remove

FlowSurf is described as an ultimate web search enhancer that can easily make your web browsing more comfortable and faster. Features like eco light, advanced navigation, zoom, and screenshots should significantly improve your web browser for free.

Some users find it actually useful, but the problem is that this free extension can be really annoying as well – it is categorized as an adware, not for no reason. FlowSurf will flood your web browser with additional advertisements. They are not only annoying but also might lead to a dangerous website. Even though they claim that they include only sponsored search results from their search partners that are relative and complement to your web searches, the reality is a little bit different. Users are complaining that ads delivered by FlowSurf are excessive and just never ends. In addition to that, Flowsurf is detected as a virus by Windows Defender Antivirus, thus it’s a pretty clear sign that it is unreliable and unwanted.

Another alarming thing – it can be difficult to get rid of FlowSurf if you don’t have any special tools for this job. Luckily, we have the answer to this question – read the article to the end and you will learn how to effectively eliminate FlowSurf and also increase the security of your computer.

About FlowSurf Infection

Flow Surf Infection Remove

As most of the adware infections, FlowSurf is based on a browser add-on. This method is also employed by various browser hijackers. That means in order to get your computer infected, it’s enough to add FlowSurf virus to the extensions list on one of your web browsers.

So initially FlowSurf is supposed to enhance your web browsing but in reality, the results will be completely opposite, because it will flood your browser with various ads in all kinds of forms. And by saying all kinds of forms we mean a huge variety of them – pop-up, banner, in-text, contextual, new tabs and even new window ads.

This is not only annoying but also might lead to various more severe consequences. For instance, the advertisement delivered by FlowSurf might direct you to another website that is also owned by cyber criminals, so your computer can get infected with other malware or if you attempt to buy something there you can even get scammed.

There is a general rule on web ads – if it looks too good to be true, it probably isn’t true. Often times you see ads displayed by FlowSurf offering some amazing deals to purchase goods with big discounts. The same goes for services or digital goods. However, it’s just a trick to win your attention and make you click on one of those advertisements. You see, crooks behind FlowSurf are getting paid by PPC (pay per click) method, so the main goal for them is to make you click on advertisements they display. That’s why you are likely to encounter ads that are misleading.

We have also mentioned that FlowSurf might be responsible for the leakage of your personal information. While operating in the background on your computer, it is always collecting information about you and your browsing habits. This information can be leaked and used to target you with other phishing campaigns.

Lastly, FlowSurf can automatically install other malicious tools into your system. This is why it’s dangerous to keep it installed – the longer you wait, the higher are chances that you will have to deal with more computer viruses.
