Microsoft prompts Windows users to check their Privacy Settings and Get Creators Update

Windows 10 has become a controversial topic which is not bound to result in pats on the back for Microsoft. There are more than a few concerning-features that can be described not in the most favorable tone, but there are positive things about the operating system as well. Currently, Microsoft has to deal with another barnacle of getting people to upgrade their OS with Creators Update.

The novel renewal is fully-equipped and ready to be applied on Windows 10 OSs. Oh, we almost forgot about the official notice from French authorities, demanding Microsoft to put an end to activities of gathering Windows users’ information. The novel upgrade appears to be a response to the long-awaited privacy issues that the Windows 10 contained. Microsoft successfully ignored such concerns for quite some time but we presume that a warning from National Data Protection Commission was a subtle reminder to act.

Creators Update

Before Creators Update can be successfully installed into operating systems, users have to implement some preparations. People are urged to take a look at the Privacy settings and configure them to individual requirements. The company will display encouraging windows, promting people to not wait around.

The action of reviewing privacy settings is not time-consuming and should be completed by all Windows users. Microsoft has officially declared that it will begin sending notifications to systems and users will be allowed to postpone them no longer than 5 times. After that, even though Privacy settings have not been checked, Windows will automatically begin the installation of Creators Update.

Given the current circumstances when crypto-viruses like WannaCry and wipers like NotPetya have surfaced, Microsoft emphasizes the necessity of staying protected against such major threats. Installing the new update will significantly increase your chances of being too-well-secured for ransomware or other types of malware to slither inside.

These explanatory statements make more sense than the dubious attempts that Microsoft chose in the past. Information about thousands of users was gathered once primary update for Windows 10 was automatically installed into older versions. We are not going to repeat ourselves: we hope that Creators Update will turn out to be everything that it is proclaimed to be. Since it fit the requirements of the French data-collecting regulators, we presume that the upgrade is definitely worth-installing. Since Microsoft probably did not plan to suffer from penalties for disobeying French, it was the right call to fix security and privacy concerns before it was too late.

According to the descriptions of Creators Update, Microsoft introduces a well-tuned experience to create and share. Features that incorporate 3D elements, improvements in the gaming section, game mode, additional applications from Game Bar and whole new suite of tab management traits. Long story short, we feel like users should review their Privacy settings and install the new update.
