AntiVirus’09 - How To Remove?

-
 2
Type: Rogue Anti-Spyware

AntiVirus’09 is a rogue anti-virus program – a fake virus remover, which masquerades as a real one. This parasite usually enters the system by using the trojan Zlob, which lurks in malicious websites disguised as a video codec. AntiVirus’09 uses scare tactics to trick the user into purchasing it’s “full version”.

Once inside and active, AntiVirus’09 will flood the user with popups and fake system notifications, supposedly to inform him of an infection or multiple infections present on the system. While this information may coincidentally be true, AntiVirus’09 has neither the ability to detect nor remove threats, and it’s advice should therefore be ignored. Much like any other rogue, AntiVirus’09 performs fake system scans, which produce greatly exaggerated results in order to further perplex the user.

AntiVirus’09 is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block it’s homepage using your HOSTS file.

Manual removal

Important Note: Although it is possible to manually remove AntiVirus’09, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend using Reimage or other tools found on 2-viruses.com.

  1. In order to protect myself against computer viruses I use Cyberdefender. It has worked great. It is easy to use and keeps my computer running extremely fast.

  2. Cyberdefender is not too bad program, yes. Though my favorites are NOD32 AND spyware doctor for maximum protection 🙂
