Zero Day Threats. What is The Best Antivirus Software to Take Care of Them?

Security experts are working really hard to find solutions to any existing protection problems. As soon as a new parasite appears they are starting to look for a way to handle it. Because of that, most of the threats are generally known for security professionals. However, cyber criminals do their work well too and no one can stop them from creating threats of unknown origin. The infections that are unfamiliar to any anti-virus programs yet are called zero day threats.

These are the threats that cause serious problems to computer users because it takes time to find a solution for them. Luckily, we can trust antivirus creators who find new methods of treating infections pretty quickly. But which antivirus software company should we choose in order to receive updates faster than others?

AV-test and NSS labs have recently done researches about antivirus software companies and their proficiency in reacting to new parasites. Both companies agreed that the best security software providers were PC Tools, Kaspersky, Symantec and AVG. This is not surprising news as these are the most popular antivirus software companies.

By the way, AV-test and NSS labs didn’t give completely same results. According to AV-test, the rates of detection on zero day attacks were 83-90 %. Its rival NSS labs, however, claim that it was only 40-65%. Anyway both of the researchers at least agreed on the companies.

If you are worried that new parasites can infect your computer while you’re downloading some files or just surfing the Internet choose one of the security programs by the above mentioned software providers. At the moment they guarantee the best computer protection. Don’t forget to keep your softaware updated because it’s the only way to stop zero day threats.
