The Top 100 of the Dirtiest Web Sites of Summer 2009
On August 2009 Symantec’s Website presented computer users with the top 100 of the Dirtiest Web Sites of this Summer. Symantec’s ratings service prepared the list of infected websites which were lined up according to the number of threats which were detected by Norton Safe Web, the software which is based on analyzing different infections on the computer system.
The list isn’t very surprising and reveals that 48% of the Dirtiest Web Sites (no pun intended) are webpages with adult content. Other sites are connected to many different activities and services which are not likely to be malicious, for example the sale of electronics, catering, fishing and others. Just clicking on the links to these infected sites, the users risk to share their identity, personal and financial information with scammers. More information can be found here.
