Personally, I would not use XsoftSpySE. There are better tools. It is likely that PC is slow due some parasites left or the remover itself. Scan with spyware doctor (free scanner) or malwarebytes anti-malware.

I got infected with this yesterday and have spent 12 hours trying to get rid of it. I am making progress by subterfuge. First, kill off your internet connection so the trojan does not send any scanned info from your computer to the hackers. On ANOTHER CLEAN PC, I downloaded XoftSpySE onto a USB stick. I put the USB stick into the infected pc and managed to drag the file onto my desktop and ran it. After a few hours it managed to scan the system and find 58 infected files. To remove the files you have to buy a license, which is $40. I paid on the other CLEAN PC so the trojan can't get my personal card data. I then entered the license key for XoftSpySE on the infected pc. I was finally able to use the pc like normal. However, it is still mega slow and I now have to fix the problems caused by the trojan, even though there are no more popups or fake warnings. The fake items in the system tray are also gone. It is not a complete cure, but it is a 60% better than it was a few hours ago and I can now see the light.

I too would like to shoot the creator of these horrible trojans and worms. Grrrrrr

A computer picked this up while on-line; was logged in thru an account that had admin priviledge; I was able to halt some of the processes but not all; trojan attempts to get you to download a video codec, probably fully infecting your system. Same ruse -- tries to fool you into downloading and buying an anti-virus program. Take note: this particular infection affected both IE and Firefox to access many, but not all, websites -- maybe their firewalls detected the presence of the worm [?] Also affected access to Task Mgr and Windows Explorer to access processes and files. If you tried to access thru My Computer, entire desktop "disappeared" and started to be "eaten" by animated bugs [how cute! :>(] -- another scare tactic. A real pain-in-the-ass, auto ran cmd.exe to copy and execute files. Does anyone know if it sends personal info back to its host server?
