How to remove WinSecure?
What is WinSecure?
WinSecure (also known as WinSecureDisc) is a rogue disc encryption program. It claims to be the best "file locker" there is, but is actually no more than a scam, and a clone of WinSecureAV at that. This parasite, not unlike any other rogue, enters your system via Trojans, such as Zlob by exploiting various browser security loopholes.
Once inside and active in the system, WinSecure uses scare tactics, such as fake system notifications and pop-up advertisements to "inform" the user of errors, and whatnot. These fallacious claims are then backed-up by a falsified scan, performed using the trial version of WinSecure. After having intimidated the user, the program tells him, that these "issues" can be removed using the licensed version of WinSecure, which costs money and is, of course, a fake.
The homepage of WinSecure looks fairly nice and reaches it’s goal of promoting the fake product as well as to induce fear of unencrypted data. A bunch of the usual tricks can be seen here: testimonials, supposedly posted in the beginning of 2006 – a whole lot of time before the program was even unleashed on the naive public, no contact information (way to go, leaders of the trade) and a lack of content. The domain is registered to someone without a name and the certificate for their payment system has expired, which hardly improves our confidence in the product.
WinSecure is a scam and should not be trusted: do NOT download or buy it and block winsecuredisc.com using your HOSTS file. Note that manual spyware removal procedures may be too difficult to unadvanced users.

Manual WinSecure removal
Important Note: Although it is possible to manually remove WinSecure, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend using Spyware Doctor or other malware and spyware removal applications found on 2-viruses.com.

WinSecure is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only WinSecure can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads WinSecure trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, WinSecure offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, WinSecure does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as WinSecure, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install WinSecure, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as WinSecure, is nearly impossible to remove manually.

These mother fuckers royally fucked my CPU up with their dumb ass program that I didn’t even install. I have a buddy of mine tracking their info and my attourney is on hold as we speak.
i cant remove this shit with the task manager cause every time i do a control alt delete, another one of their pop-ups comes up. how do i do it with the task manager? i tried to install a spyhunter, but i cant cause i cant click on anything without another pop-up showing up in its place…. this is retarded
Ian : Spyhunter is not so good, we do not recommend it at the moment. Spyware Doctor / Malwarebytes anti-malware is better in my opinion. To install them, try booting in safe mode (reboot, press F8, choose safe mode with networking). If you can’t download exe files, try renaming them to .pif on download.
