How to remove WinErrorFixer?
What is WinErrorFixer?
WinErrorFixer is one of the newest rogue scams lurking the net this week. This particular "tool" is a self-fashioned registry cleaner/hard-drive cleaner, etc. In reality WinErrorFixer is no different than any other rogue, whether it be anti-spyware or otherwise. All these parasites work in exactly the same way: they infect the system by using trojans, such as the infamous Zlob or Vundo, and then proceed to intimidate the user using various tactics, hoping that he will buy the "licensed version" of the fake program.
Once inside and active, WinErrorFixer proceeds to bombard the user with popups, fake system notifications and whatnot, supposedly to inform him of an error or multiple errors in the registry or elsewhere on the system. While these errors may or may not exist, WinErrorFixer is a tool fit neither to dispose of them nor to actually spot them. The whole point of this disinformation is to scare the user into buying WinErrorFixer, which will be promoted at one point or another of the parasite’s campaign of lies.
Needless to say, WinErrorFixer’s capabilities are not worth discussing, since they are, quite simply, non-existent, but the parasite’s homepage – winerrorfixer.com – suggests that it’s actually fairly bad even at scamming. The website is poorly made and there is virtually no relevant content, let alone contact information. The domain is registered to a Mike Berkov of WinSolutions Corporation Limited fame, a term used loosely due fact that this company is nowhere to be found on the net.
WinErrorFixer is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block winerrorfixer.com using your HOSTS file.

WinErrorFixer is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only WinErrorFixer can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads WinErrorFixer trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, WinErrorFixer offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, WinErrorFixer does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as WinErrorFixer, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install WinErrorFixer, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as WinErrorFixer, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
