Monique: Secure Web Kit is website infection that might result in PC infection. Typically, if you see popups, you should reset your start page to default and close all browser windows. Avoid visiting the website that you visited last before seeing secure web kit popups for a while (till it will be cleaned). The websites are cleaned with different tools, and only the owners can do that.

Thanks for info – I just had this come up on my laptop and was worried. I ran Spyware Doctor which did find 6 problems and got rid of them for me. I am concerned my pc is probably now infected with this thing. I only have the free Spyware Doctor plus anti virus. Do you recommend upgrading to the paid one which now appears to cost $59.95 AUD? I have found it good so far but the free version does not include as much.

Pippa : Scan always. Free version will tell if you are infected. Having good anti-virus and anti-malware program with real time protection is important.
