How to remove WebSpyShield?
What is WebSpyShield?
After such an interesting Wednesday, Thursday, October 11, 2007 offers us only one rogue anti-spyware program, WebSpyShield. Completely uninteresting and purely traditional, the Web SpyShield has to be manually downloaded and installed to work. It doesn’t even brag too much how good it is and only provides us with a few subtle hints, that it is, actually, the best.
WebSpyShield is especially boring – it does the exact same as every other rogue, you find the page, you try downloading it and in the process you get infected with adware, one that if you don’t go through with the whole thing will be trying to intimidate you with pop-ups. Anyway, the trial version of the program performs a scan and falsifies the results, spicing it up with worms and trojans and, AH, THEY’RE EVERYWHERE! if you try to clean this mess, you are prompted to buy the full version. It doesn’t work, unfortunately.
The homepage has such a lack of content that it can quite possibly heal insomnia, while the few pieces of information sound disturbingly false. "If the answer to one of these questions is "Yes", then you are probably infected." some of the questions look like this : "Your computer has slowed down," first of all, that is not a question and secondly tons of things can cause your computer to slow down and they’re not necessarilly infections; "You have downloaded music or software from the Web," need I elaborate? There is no contacs information besides an email adress.
Web Spy Shield is a bogus program that needs your money, do NOT download it, do NOT buy it, if you have it, remove it and block WebSpyShield.com’s URL in your host files.

WebSpyShield is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only WebSpyShield can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads WebSpyShield trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, WebSpyShield offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, WebSpyShield does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as WebSpyShield, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install WebSpyShield, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as WebSpyShield, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
