What is VSCodec PRO?

VSCodec PRO is a fake codec – there have quite a few of these around lately. This parasite might make it’s way to your system by exploiting browser loop holes, although there are likely other methods as well. VSCodec PRO claims that your video and audio quality will dramatically increase if you purchase the codec (which costs between $50 and $80). No matter how you look at it, this is not a good deal.

If VSCodec PRO makes your system its home, your audio settings will get all messed up and you’ll see the following tray popup:

“Fatal error. Media system on your computer is corrupt. Update your sound and video codec immediately to resolve this issue.”

This is a fake error message, displayed by VSCodec PRO. If you follow these instructions, you’ll end up in a website where you can purchase the fake codec (www.VSCodec-Pro.com).

VSCodec PRO is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it.
