Vista Security 2011 removal guide:

To remove Vista Security 2011 you will need to download and burn into cd several programs on clean PC or Alternate OS scaner. Here instructions:
a) Burn these programs to CD or write them to USB disk (you can use an MP3 player):

  1. Spyware Doctor ( https://www.2-viruses.com/spdoc.exe )
  2. Registry fix : https://www.2-viruses.com/wp-content/uploads/exeregfix.reg to restore normal execution of registry
  3. You might want to download Hitman Pro or Malwarebytes as alternate scanners. Though you are likely to be able to download them later on.

b) Boot normally. Wait for Vista Security 2011 to launch, and run exeregfix.reg . This should allow launching legitimate programs
c) Delete or remove the files that are mentioned in our files box. You can use spyhunter to identify the infected files and additional infections. Do not forget update it before scanning. Remove what it finds.
d) Scan with spyhunter and secondary tools and reboot your PC. This should fully get rid of Vista Security 2011.

  1. I’ve tried everything, but nothing works. It tells me that the computer’s administrator domain has been disabled, the system restore, something about the group policy, but nothing works! I’ve tried enabling the domain thing and it didn work, the group policies, EVERYTHING!!! That regedit.exe, however you spell it, doesn’t do anything. Can anybody help? Please and thank you.

    hello rotha vista security 2011 will be located in the temp,app,appilication data,or under program data folder u can check ur computer there will be 3 letters(random alphabets) files which will be having extension .exe trying searching that and remove that sice this virus will edit registry settings completly (you can check none of the virus removal tool will run they just crash)try a system restore to earlier point when ur system was working fine and again update ur antivirus and try scaning your system the best antivirus wat i recommend is kaspersky

  3. I can’t seem to run exeregfix.reg, and i’m not really sure why. I’m saving it as a .reg under “all files,” but it still opens notepad again… Am I doing something wrong?

  4. Thanks mohan just spent last couple of hours getting rid of this nasty and then with your instructions gone in 20 minutes or so. Just installed spybot search and destroy so hopefully last I’ll see of it!

  5. Another way to get rid of Vista is to go to back-up and restore and restore to a previous dates’ settings. But it has to be a date before the infection or that wont work either
