It also demands buying a full version of the software in order to remove supposedly detected threats. Do not bite this bait! Virus Trigger (also known as Virus Trigger 2.1) is not an antivirus and it’s not capable of locating or deleting viruses.

VirusTrigger 2.1 is a malware distributed by Vundo and other trojans. It may redirect web browser to either virus-trigger.com or virustrigger2009.com in order to push people into giving their money away. These websites are identical, Don’t get mislead by the nice design of virustrigger2009.com; the website is poorly made and it is part of VirusTrigger scam. The purpose of this internet source is to make visitors pay either $49.95 or $79.95 for a license of the program. Virus Trigger 2.1 is a malware and it won’t function as anti-virus no matter how much you pay.

If you take a closer look at virustrigger2009.com and virus-trigger.com, you can actually recognize a scam. It promotes VirusTrigger, but the ridiculous product name is changed to Total Cleaner on some of the articles. The messages on the website are written in poor English; the testimonials section is clearly fabricated and the company information contains only praises instead of facts and contact details.

  1. I have used two cleaners (cleaner & spybot) to remove this thing…search entire hard drive, gone through six pages of all the registry tricks found on line and this thing comes right back after it appears to be gone.

  2. I would not recommend or use Spybot myself. Many will disagree, but it is updated so slowly that you have bad chances with new viruses and have to go through registry manually to (partially) remove other parasites.

  3. Im so mad. I got this virus (VirusTrigger)on my computer. I’ve tried everything to get rid of it. Nothing works. Any suggestions?
