How to remove User.Arcadia?

What is User.Arcadia?

User.Arcadia is a fake error displayed by the rogue registry cleaner PCPrivacyCleaner and the trojans that promote it. The point of the false information is to create a reason for the user to buy PCPrivacyCleaner’s fake "licensed version". The message may appear in the form of a popup, fake system notification or falsified registry scan report, it says “Your system has at least 6 known vulnerabilities” and lists User.Arcadia as well as 5 other non-existent errors.

User.Arcadia is NOT an error or vulnerability, it is merely a sign that you are a target of a scam, called PCPrivacyCleaner, which should be dealt with accordingly.

User.Arcadia is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only User.Arcadia can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads User.Arcadia trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, User.Arcadia offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, User.Arcadia does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.

Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as User.Arcadia, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet.
