TrustDefender - How to remove

TrustDefender

TrustDefender is just another malware from Wini family which together with its clones IronProtector and ShieldSoldier showed up in the beginning of October. All these rogue anti-spywares are known to be spread by Trojans that pretend to be video codecs required for watching something online. If you click on such alert, instead of installing a codec you let Trojans inside that additionally download TrustDefender. Besides, the same Trojans drop some fake malware files and modify infected computer’s settings to make this malware launched after every computer’s reboot.

Not only just Trust Defender is installed into your computer unnoticeably. A fake Windows Registry cleaning program called RegistryClever is also let inside and it is similarly to the previous threat configured to start automatically.

As a result, as soon as PC users login to Windows, TrustDefender and RegistryClever start their misleading campaign. That means that malwares will display tons of alerts, pop-up ads and notifications about various viruses and registry problems detected. TrustDefender starts posing to be scanning the system for viruses and then lists a great variety of infections. These files in reality are the same ones created by TrustDefender and its Trojans or the ones that are legitimate your system files. You should only ignore them.

The most important part of this misleading campaign is that you won’t be able to remove any of these “detections”. For that, users are usually asked paying the money for TrustDefender’s “registered version” which is foolishly reported to be the only one capable to remove these threats.  However, it is highly recommended not to pay any sum of money for this scam, because you will only support the scammers and will be left without nothing.
