How to remove Total Antispyware?

March 12th, 2009

What is Total Antispyware?

Total Antispyware is a fake spyware remover, that is a tool claiming to remove spyware parasites existing on your PC without actual capability of doing so. It tries to convince users by implanting trojans and adware into their system that promotes the rogue, hijacking users desktop and homepage and shameless self-promotion in various shareware sites. The computer scan is lightning-fast, but only becouse no actual scanning is performed – the parasite has a preset number of “threats” existing on your system. After the scan you are asked to buy full Total Antispyware remover for 50 bucks. After you pay and get registration key you will notice that the key does not work or remover does not do anything at all, and these scammers got your bank details.

Total Antispyware sites totalantispyware.com and totalantispyware.net are really funny, becouse they are done by very incompetent staff. First, they claim to be in business for 3-4 years, though websites are registered couple days before.  Though it might be that the copyright date (2005) in their footer is the date previous design was made by designer that worked on this project, as the look of website is total crap. Suits well for TotalAntispyware. The fact that half links fail to work means that websites are still in making…. probably since 2005 as well.

Overall, this is not legitimate product and should be avoided.
