Spyware Crusade has an appropriate name – just like the real crusades, this one has no enemy, only the goal to make a profit. This parasite is yet another fake spyware remover with no special features whatsoever: it enters the system using various trojans, such as Vundo, and relies on misleading advertising to trick users into purchasing it’s “licensed version”.
Upon entering the system, Spyware Crusade will flood the user with popups and fake system notifications, supposedly to inform him of an infection or multiple infections present on the system. This information is not true, but that’s fine, because Spyware Crusade’s real goal is to scare the user and at the same time drop a link to the purchase page of this rogue. In addition to the popups, Spyware Crusade also performs fake system scans, which produce fabricated results, marking legitimate files as threats. It might also be advertised using browser hijackers, which redirect the user to online system scanner sites, such as stop-spyware.com.
Spyware Crusade is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and remove it immediatelly upon detection.
