How to remove SpyReaper?

What is SpyReaper?

SpyReaper, a clone of SpyShield,is a rogue anti-spyware application. The first reports on SpyReaper were received on July 8th, 2007, when numerous systems across the internet started to show symptoms of SpyReaper infection. This parasite uses browser security exploits and trojans to infiltrate unsuspecting systems as main ways of infection.

Once inside, SpyReaper starts to generate large amounts of pop-ups to harass users into believing that their systems have been infected with spyware. Then, SpyReaper offers a "free" scan, which shows ridiculous amounts of non-existent and imaginary threats to further scare its victims. Once properly conditioned, the users are offered to buy SpyReaper in order to get rid of the said threats.

Of course, SpyReaper does not fix any errors, and in fact may istall additional spyware into your computer. Be sure to remove it immediately after detection.

SpyReaper is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only SpyReaper can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads SpyReaper trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, SpyReaper offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, SpyReaper does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.

Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as SpyReaper, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install SpyReaper, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.

Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as SpyReaper, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
