How to remove SecurePCCleaner?

What is SecurePCCleaner?

SecurePCCleaner is a rogue anti-spyware application that is usually imported secretly and executed on your system via various Trojans, such as Zlob. Secure PC Cleaner may also get on your system using the flaws of your Internet browser. Once it’s installed, SecurePCCleaner will start with Windows and will display a whole lot of fake security warnings about your system being infected. To remove these non-existent threats you are asked to purchase the full version, which is fake, of course. Remove it immediately upon detection.

Stay away from SecurePCCleaner and block securepccleaner.com (87.117.252.11, located in UK, also shared by YourPrivacyGuard, FixThemNow and a number of other rogues) in your HOSTS file to maximize your security.

SecurePCCleaner is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only SecurePCCleaner can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads SecurePCCleaner trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, SecurePCCleaner offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, SecurePCCleaner does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.

Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as SecurePCCleaner, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install SecurePCCleaner, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.

Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as SecurePCCleaner, is nearly impossible to remove manually.

Unfortunately the free version will not remove detected threats.

Also…If you’re trying to fix SecurePCCleaner, good luck. This program, nor will any other, find it. I have not found a program yet that has fixed my problem with SecurePCCleaner/Trustedantivirus. I’ve tried SmitFraudFix, Spybot search & Destroy, Ad-Aware, Norton Internet Security 2008, McAfee Security 2008, Panda…nothing can find it.

I have the same problem and have also tried Kaspersky, Spynomore, CCleaner, AntiVBTrojan. Also, no fix. My Kaspersky can’t find it, my Spybot finds but claims to have removed but it just comes back. Please let me know if you find a way to remove. I think it has also bogged my machine down considerably. Thanks!
