How to remove SchijfBewaker?
What is SchijfBewaker?
SchijfBewaker is a rogue anti-spyware program aimed at the Dutch public. It is in no way different that any other fake spyware removal program scam. Their strategy involves using popups and fake system notifications to scare the user into buying the "licensed version" of SchijfBewaker. This parasite usually infects the PC by using Trojans.
Once inside and active on the system SchijfBewaker will proceed to bombard the user with tons of annoying popups and system notifications to inform him of an infection (which probably doesn’t exist). These popups will redirect the user to the "solution", which is no other than SchijfBewaker. Supposedly, by using the full version of the program, the user would be able to dispose of the non-existent threats – an obvious lie if I ever saw one.
SchijfBewaker.com’s IP is based in the Netherlands, the contact address of the registrant is, however, in the US, which seems rather strange. Do NOT trust this program: do NOT download or buy it and block SchijfBewaker.com using your HOSTS file for maximum protection.

SchijfBewaker is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only SchijfBewaker can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads SchijfBewaker trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, SchijfBewaker offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, SchijfBewaker does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as SchijfBewaker, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install SchijfBewaker, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as SchijfBewaker, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
