How to remove Safety Center?
What is Safety Center?
Safety Center is a fake security suite, which supposedly contains a spyware remover, a privacy protector, a firewall, etc., when in fact all of it is no more than a scam. This parasite is an ordinary rogue: it usually enters the system by employing the use of various trojans, such as Vundo, and tricks users into paying for it’s “licensed version” by feeding him disinformation.
Upon entering the system, Safety Center starts flooding the user with popups and fake system notifications, most of which look something like this:
We are sorry but your query looks similar to requests from a computer infected by viruses or spyware applications. To protect our users, we can’t proceed with your request at the moment. We will restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again later. Meanwhile, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your system is free of viruses and other malicious software.
If you click on any of these popups, you will be taken to the purchase page of Safety Center. In addition to the popups, this parasite also performs fake system scans, which return misleading results about the health of the system. The report is usually full of all kinds of infections – worms, trojans, spyware, etc., but they are usually nothing more than legitimate files marked as threats.
The only thing to gain from Safety Center is a ton of popups and a slow system. Do NOT download or buy it and remove it immediatelly upon detection.

Safety Center is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only Safety Center can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads Safety Center trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, Safety Center offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, Safety Center does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as Safety Center, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install Safety Center, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as Safety Center, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
