What is Quick Defrag?

Quick Defrag is just another version of fake system defragmenters of defragger family. This has little to do with real system utilities and are, in fact, malware. Out of nowhere, Quick Defrag virus starts showing various popups and alerts trying to catch attention of PC user. Programs are stopped from launching claiming that they can not be found on hard disk or hard disk is in dire need of repair, and only Quick Defrag is able to detect and fix these errors.
During scan it will show about the same errors too:

Windows cannot find notepad.exe . Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.

Critical Error
A critical error has occurred while indexing data stored on hard drive. System restart required.

The errors detected by this malware are not only disk related. There are a preset amount of errors detected by Quick Defrag on any PCs. Some are claiming that the disk is corrupt, some are blaming memory, or processor in Video card. None of these errors are real, as no real scan can be performed by QuickDefrag or other parasites. And if they were real, most of these problems could not be fixed by mere software. They would require change in PC hardware.

None rogue applications can be trusted and you should remove Quick Defrag as soon as you start noticing its popups.
