How to remove Privacy Components?
What is Privacy Components?
Privacy Components (a.k.a Privacy Tools Pack) is a new rogue anti-spyware program, a fake spyware remover, which uses illicit methods to trick the user into purchasing it’s "licensed version". Privacy Components usually makes it’s way to the system by using trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo. These trojans disguise themselves as Video ActiveX codecs in order not to seem suspicious. Of course, it can also be manually downloaded and installed, which is too often the case with inexpierienced users.
Once inside and active, Privacy Components will flood the user with popups and fake system notifications, supposedly to inform him of an infection present on the system. The message may also warn the user that his privacy has been/is in danger of being compromised. Privacy Components will try to reassure these claims by providing a falsified system scan report. The ultimate goal of this disinformation is to sell the full version of the product, which is no more functional than the trial.
Privacy Components is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block it’s homepage using your HOSTS file.

Privacy Components is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only Privacy Components can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads Privacy Components trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, Privacy Components offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, Privacy Components does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as Privacy Components, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install Privacy Components, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as Privacy Components, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
