If computer acts slow when accessing search engines, check the hosts file (or proxy settings). Thats the first place to look at if the searches are not redirected to malware servers. Also, simply deleting files will not fix that problem, as till you fix hosts file and proxy your searches might lead to infected websites.

I am a Company owner, I just had the Malware from Internet Security 2010
This is how you are to remove the Malware and all its crap that comes with.

1st of all have a program which you can control the startup programs.

2nd Go to the this section, and lok for any strange files that are not used by
Microsoft or any other registered program. ( keys like ini files with strange code names) wK5ygHTT563903YYt like this.
Then click them all of as not i use for startup.

3RD step Turn off he Comp open in safe mode with NETWORK.

4th go back to startup program goto these stupid files, right click open the cntainer on HARD DRIVE, you see many that are in use, but CHECK them all as only one of them files will open in Temp folder.
Here you will see exe fils Adobe Skype etc,..........(THESE ARE THE MALWARE COVER TO CONFUSE YOU)

5th Here you go 98 exe files to be deleted one by one, you will know these files as they ay like RND.exe Fuckyou.exe fukurself.exe and so on.
Here you remove all the folder including dummi files like Adobe Skype etc.

6 Your nearly done, empty bin, reboot and WOW you in the clear.
This is not a Virus its Malware, its created on bad hosted servers.

Keys to remeber:
Remeber date and time
Next time your windows is runnng slow on search engines turn off computer (DONT WAIT and risk)

Report to search engines on which you ot the malware
Email the company with abusive letter :) This is a must do
Well it took me 3 hours to figure it our and saved my JOB.

to kill the processes

Copy cmd.exe and rename it to something else (e.g. abc.exe)
you can then load abc.exe
from the command prompt use TASKKILL to kill the processes

WM: Internet Security 2010 does not disable task manager in all cases. You can do it in safe mode, or start task manager right after logged in, or use a different program (process explorer is good choice, a download from microsoft). You might need to rename the programs to something.pif to pass IS2010 though.

There is no way to use the task manager so there is absolutely NO way to stop the processes of this ware. I really wonder how on earth who ever wrote these directions forgot to mention that very important part. IS2010 Prevents the task manager from working in any way shape or form. It also prevents you from being able to delete its files because they are always in use even DURING SAFE MODE!!!

Someone please explain to me how this is suppose to work because I dont see it as possible..

Well what about the first step? Stop these processes. how do you do that when you hit ctrl, alt, delete is2010 pops up and says the device is not working because it is infected? Even during safe mode it does this so How do you stop the processes?

@admin I bought the removal tool. I may never use it again, but for the price it was well worth it. I was about to give up and just buy a new computer, but the download allowed me to remove the components enough to do a system restore. (: now I'm good to go. However, I read of instances where people were not allowed to download the program. Just be patient as your computer will run more slowly than usual. You may think its not going to work, but give it a few minutes to start. Good luck to anybody that gets this crappy virus!

I have had to remove this twice in 1 week. bleepingcomputer removal worked for about 3 days. Can't figure out where it's coming from--- any ideas? The removal is long and tricky-- even with malwarebytes it will stop the scan and removal of itself! It will hide its files and disable the Taskmanager so manual removal is difficult. If anyone knows of a known source, please share! AVG Free AV seems to be letting it in.

Joe: Development of good anti-spyware tools costs money. If there is a "free" program, there is either a catch, it is crap, or they are trying to get money in other way. You can try using malwarebytes instead, their remover is free but it will not protect against similar infections in the future.
