This virus comes up instead. The Earthlink " chat" person did not or could not understand this problem. Looking closely at the "my.earthlink.net logo . Not quite the Earthlink logo . The logo, (I photographed it and it shows a small " peace symbol" in a circle where the earthlink "e" logo would be. This virus will not let me get into earthlink.net unless I manually type in the address. I need some help but I think also Earthlink needs to investigate this source. When I clicked on the " logo a sort of rounded form of the AVG square " color quilt" appeared with a notice about virus on my computer and to " click here" to to get the Properties, This is what it shows: I dare not connect to the page that gives the "warning" so you might connect to the source for the virus or whatever it may be. I need help on this but there may be others that have already connected to it.
