How to remove IE Antivirus?

What is IE Antivirus?

IE Antivirus (also known as IE AntiVirus 3.2, IE AntiVirus 3.3, IE AntiVirus 3.4) is a new rogue clone of MalwareBell. It looks like rogue manufacturers have ran out of plausible parasite names, as they are now trying using very generic names to cover their tracks.  The main IE Antivirus infection cause is Vundo /Zlob trojan downloaders, which produce multiple popups to convince you that your PC requires this piece of crap like IE Antivirus or Malware bell. After you download the "cure", you will be asked to pay to remove the threats it found on your PC. Most of these "threats" are fake; IE Antivirus can not recognize parasites except if they were downloaded into your PC by the program itself. If you pay for IE Antivirus, you will never hear from the company again, nor will it solve your popup problems.

IEAntivirus payments are handled by a bogus website called software-payment.com, which apparently was created for such illegal purposes only. If you pay them, do not expect money back if something goes wrong. And believe us, with corrupt antispyware like IE Antivirus there is always something wrong, including that they can not remove spyware at all.

Take care, and avoid this parasite. Block ieantivirus.com in your hosts file, and update your antispyware program definitions regularly.

Manual IE Antivirus removal

Important Note: Although it is possible to manually remove IE Antivirus, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend using Spyware Doctor or other malware and spyware removal applications found on 2-viruses.com. Stop these IE Antivirus processes:
Disable these IE Antivirus DLL files::
Remove these IE Antivirus Registry Entries:
Remove these IE Antivirus files:
It is impossible to list all file names and locations of modern parasites. You can identify remaining parasites, other IE Antivirus infected files and get help in IE Antivirus removal by using free Spyware Doctor scanner. It comes with free real-time protection module that helps preventing IE Antivirus and similar threats.

IE Antivirus is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only IE Antivirus can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads IE Antivirus trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, IE Antivirus offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, IE Antivirus does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.

Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as IE Antivirus, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install IE Antivirus, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.

Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as IE Antivirus, is nearly impossible to remove manually.

How to tell if your PC has been infected by a Rogue Anti-Spyware such as IE Antivirus?

Numerous undesirable and annoying pop-ups: A typical Rogue Anti-Spyware parasite keeps track of your internet browsing habits, sending your browsing history data to remote servers, owned by third party companies that use this information to advertise their products via numerous pop-ups, toolbars, hijacked homepages and spam letters. All these undesirable advertising methods are used on the victims of Rogue Anti-Spyware.
Changed or new icons: Sometimes, Rogue Anti-Spyware installs unwanted software to a victim’s PC without user’s knowledge and consent. This may lead to slower PC performance and stability, as well as more unwanted programs you can't remove.

    Hi All,
now the issue is solved. and the first thing i did is opening this forum to put it… I was tortured by this virus for almost three days and I couldn’t open anything in my computer.

see what I did to clean it.
If you are already infected with this IEAV, you need to follow the removal instruction, if you are not yet infected with this malware and geting annoying popup,

I opened firefox clear all the browsing history. including all files.
I went to internet options -> programs -> manage add ons and disabled all the add ons which are marked as ‘not verified’ and I have had a doubt on this addon called ‘IE ext’ it was not shown any remarks as verified or not verified. but I disabled that too. I dont know which step actually solved the problem.
but I don’t want to see that again
    hope it may help.

    Thanks guys.

These morons that make these stupid,wanna-be anti-viruses,need to be bound in body bags full of the feces of the people whose computers they so gleefully contribute to infecting and sloshed around for about ten minutes to help simulate the crap that people go through when they get this junk on their computer. Then they need prosecuted,or at least fined for their detrimental cyber-prank antics.

    Hello everybody,
I had similar problem like Ravi Modha describes above.
    Here is the solution:
    1. Start Windows in the safe mode (start your computer, press the key F8, choose the safe mode)
    2. Go to: C:\Windows\system32
    3. Delete following files:
    oggwin.dll
    domview.dll
    xmlview.dll
    4. Do not forget to delete these files from the trash bin
    5. Reboot your computer
    That is all.

Well, Sudhahar R’s suggestion has definitely disabled the add on for me, but I’m not quite sure if it’s a permanent fix. I really appreciate your post! This is the most bothersome problem, especially when I try to fix it manually, there is no IEantispy.exe, ieav.exe process or file on my files or drivers. But thanks alot for the help!
