Extreme Blocker - How to remove

Extreme Blocker

Extreme Blocker is an adware program that modifies settings of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and interferes into your browsing activity. It’s a deceptive browser extension that uses dishonest methods to infiltrate into random browsers. Usually it comes bundled to various free programs that you can download from the Internet, such as music or video players, download managers and so on. Once inside, it generates tons of intrusive ads which not only try to redirect you to sponsored websites but they can also pose risk for your system to get infected with spyware and other dangerous threats.

Extreme Blocker usually generates ads that contain various shopping offers, deals, coupons, price comparisons etc. The first time you notice them, you may even find them attractive and click on them to check out the offers. However, with time you will find Ads by Extreme Blocker very annoying as they will never stop. The only way to finish this mess is by removing Extreme Blocker from your computer. It is actually recommended to do that if you don’t want to deal with any other issues.

Adware like Extreme Blocker is often programmed to track users’ browsing habits. This explains the fact that most of the ads by this adware are related to your recent searches. Not only this helps to generate better ads and get more clicks but also the program can get your personal information, like your emails, IP address, passwords and a lot of other data. If it sends this information to the third parties, they can involve you into other marketing related projects. Besides, computer hackers can login into some of your accounts and they can even steal your money. As you see, Extreme Blocker is not that innocent application.

Be more careful with your downloads from the Internet to avoid similar infiltration in the future. If you are one of those users who don’t pay much attention to the installation steps of your new programs, you can easily allow additional programs to be added to your computer. A lot of bundles are installed by default unless you deselect an option indicating about them. For this reason, you are highly recommended to go for a Custom or Advanced installation instead of a Quick or Basic one and check out every step before hitting the “Next” or “Accept” button. This will allow you to refuse any unwanted downloads.

In case your computer has already been infected, remove Extreme Blocker as soon as you can. There are two common ways to do it. You can do it either manually or automatically. An automatic removal is much easier and faster, and especially if you are a less experienced user, this is definitely an option for you. Download a trustworthy anti-malware, such as Spyhunter, Stopzilla or Malwarebytes and scan your PC with it. It will automatically detect and remove Extreme Blocker. It will also clean your computer from other, similar infections. If you don’t want to download any additional software to perform this, you can try to remove this adware manually. Just follow our step-by-step Extreme Blocker removal guide given below this article. Don’t forget to restore the settings of affected browsers manually after applying any of the removal ways.
